blegh. dont drink the water.

everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant! gasp!
i felt all kinda sick yesterday for some reason and it was a faint sick, just enough to be annoying. i had a headache when i woke up (which i am claiming is allergies) and later in the evening i developed this rather lovely "im gonna toss mah cookies" feeling. good clean fun that helped make studying, climbing aerial silk and learning a fast paced hip hop/ballet/jazz dance Sooooper fun! yay! so im having everyone else's sympathy pains.

also, and for the record, i am kinda jealous of people like vegan dad for having the motivation to cook some awesome vegan yumminess EVERY day. i mean, i guess kids have to eat so he and his wife cook out of necessity. kids are probably not as happy with a boring wrap the way i am on days when i feel too lazy to make something grand. this evening i'm going to make this sketti squash from happy herbivore. yum!

ok, here is my version of the squash with vegan cheese, chipolte peppers (cuz i like my food to BURN) and chips! right before i ate it all! yum! i know its not very pretty but it was yummy!

today, while not studying for my looming statistics exam, i am repairing a 1962 vintage red VELVET and pink chiffon dress to wear to the derbytante ball. good times. it was my aunt Leonora's high school graduation dress. fabulous. it had a GIANT red bow on the front that i snatched off and since i have a broader back than olympic swimmer michael phelps (i kid, i kid, but really i do have a broad back) im just not even going to use the zipper. instead i am going to create a lace up back. im going out in the blaze of vintage glory and i don't care what anyone else has to say about it! ha! there may even be eventual photographic proof of my madness.....

im a little d.i.y. / a little post punk

i still want this.... eeets a soyquick soy milk maker that i mentioned earlier in this blog.... and alas, still do not have. Susan from the FatFree Vegan Kitchen reminded me when she posted about making tofu which you can clearly do with a soy milk maker.
i want to make tofu and rice milk and maybe even oatmeal/almond milk. hell who knows what type of milk the future holds but i do enjoy experimenting...... i will also be needing some of these to store my DEEEELISHOUS milkies. (Brandon, love, i am sure you are grossed out by now cuz im a weirdo soymilk and tofu makin bunny jackolantern, ya wouldnt want me any other way, right?) :)

on that same note of making your own (fill in the blank with whatever), babies of my future life, watch out!!
http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/
after watching our friends Randy and Ashley feed their baby Kayley, i have pretty much decided that i will be overly concerned and/or cautious of what food passes the lips of any future children we have. i dont say this because they are bad parents, so PLEASE no one take it that way. typically people do feed babies gerber food and yogurt drops. im not saying it is not their choice to feed their children in a way that they see fit. i am just saying that there might be a better way.
babies do not need sugar or salt, they need highly nutritious food that facilitates their growth and development. i feel like i am more educated than the general public and therefore i have no right to be lazy when it comes to such influential decisions as this. (i am really not trying to sound like a snob, but come on, people's children have teeth fall out beacause of all the sugared fruit juice bottles parents pop in their mouths every time they make a peep.)
so, when future said children get older they are also getting these to take their healthy lunch to school.
in fact, while we are discussing things i want, i want the lunch system in primary or whimsical to be specific! :)
In fact a set made a really random appearance in a dream i had about a thrift store the other night...

i just hope everyone is prepared. im gonna be the mom on Clarissa Explains it All...

side note completely unrelated-
i had this nightmare that i was a male warrior and my two traveling companions/friends turned on me. the larger of the two men shot me multiple times with a crossbow. multiple shots found themselves in my throat and head. obviously, these should have killed me. but somehow it gets worse. i managed to drag myself to a healing house full of elves just in time to learn of my former love's intention to marry another man. the female elves managed to heal me overnight, just barely in time to try to crash the wedding, but i was too late despite my exhausting journey.

the hot springs.

.there must have be a lot going on in your head as you seemed a bit distant yesterday.

as for the trip with the girls. It was pretty fun! we played around in the downtown area of Hot Springs for a few hours. We went to play ping pong at a bar (oh, joy) and then we went to Rolando's. It was high up the side of a mini-mountain. it was beautiful up there. well lit with christmas lights and paper lanterns. very scenic. i don't do much (if any) drinking because yoga and running and skating are really not conducive to an alcohol habit. but i am completely fine with that. its probably more funny to watch people drink anyway and at this point in my life i get tipsy off of a beer....

i think it is fair to say that Licious had a fabulous birthday! i made the hat you see her wearing along with a shirt, that although is too big for her, is awesome nonetheless. it says Lyndalicious on the front and i knock a bitch down on the back (with a cupcake at the end for extra sweetness).
i slept with Susie on an airmatress on the floor of the arctic tundra that our dear, rarely clothed, hyper and a.d.d. as hell LaSucia prepared for us. She had the air turned to 65. i threatened her life a few times because she kept growling randomly and causing me strange nightmares. then she kept getting louder as she spoke. it was actually pretty hilarious. i tried to escape to somewhere outside when i saw that Brian and Wendy might be sleeping in the van- but alas. they were just doing something else.....
Anyway!! i told the team what was going on with school and my whole relationship situation and they were very supportive. that made me feel better (although of course, i missed Brandon the whole time i was there). it's always nice to know that you have people in your life that have your back. even when you are retarded or trying to make up for being retarded.

the PrissKillas needed a getaway and i must say this was a fun one.

who do i want to fall in a lake?

tried my hand at quinoa- it is yummy!
i made it and then added red peppers, onions, zuchinni, and chipolte peppers. yowza.

I made a skirt out of old t-shirts. its a different look from all sides so it is really versatile. I actually made a variation from the book that i have. I plan on making even more!

here's a story about Wendy and Brian. now that man knows what he wants. for His birthday, he took his wife out to dinner and invited all of her closest friends. he said that what he wanted for his birthday was for her to be happy and to say thank you to her for their years together. holy hell if that is not the sweetest thing.
